Our New Easter Tradition

We've been trying to think of an Easter tradition (besides watching Easter Parade, coloring eggs, eating too much candy, etc.) that our little family could have that would help us focus on the real celebration- the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. So we got on iTunes and bought several of the songs from Handel's Messiah. We are going to sit down and sing them as a family near Easter. We don't have trained voices so part of me is afraid that we will just end up with headaches and hoarse throats after singing such difficult songs, but we are excited to try it! We will just have to see if it really ends up being a tradition or not.

Playground Fun

We loved our first trip to the playground this year when it was finally warm enough. It was fun to have Aunt Tasha along!

Super-Adelia!

Adelia was invited to a Super Hero birthday party. She went as super Adelia! I made her a cape and we put an "A" on her shirt. At the party they went through an obstacle course which included a ring of fire (red and orange plastic), a pit of snakes (the stuffed kind), and some kind of dangerous cave. Her favorite part was the cake and ice cream:)

Tucker's Tower

When I went into the kitchen to make breakfast this morning, I found that Tucker had beaten me. He was trying to precariously put the brown sugar bag on top of the ketchup at the top of his tower. He was unsuccessful but I thought it was so cute! Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough with the camera to get him in the picture, but you get the idea.

The Imagi-Nation

A little while ago I posted about how Adelia loves to read stories- well now it's imagining. She has pet birds, alligators, dogs, and any other animals you can think of. She also imagines friends (they always have two-syllable nonsense names like, for example- Hulka.) Sometimes she's fishing or climbing a mountain, sometimes she's going shopping or playing hide-and-seek with someone or something. It's so fun! She definately keeps us entertained.
