Our New Easter Tradition

We've been trying to think of an Easter tradition (besides watching Easter Parade, coloring eggs, eating too much candy, etc.) that our little family could have that would help us focus on the real celebration- the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. So we got on iTunes and bought several of the songs from Handel's Messiah. We are going to sit down and sing them as a family near Easter. We don't have trained voices so part of me is afraid that we will just end up with headaches and hoarse throats after singing such difficult songs, but we are excited to try it! We will just have to see if it really ends up being a tradition or not.

  1. That's a really fun idea. I've been trying to think of ideas for Easter traditions too. One thought I had- that isn't all that original- was to read the story in the Bible and have things in plastic eggs that Caleb can open up that coincide with the story. (We sure couldn't sing! But I think listening to the songs would be fun!)
